How to Activate the VU Effect on Taramps Multicolor Audio Mixers – Taramps

First, it is important to understand that our multicolor audio mixers have two modes for LED effects:

STANDBY MODE: Activated when there is no audio output for 10 seconds. In this mode, the RGB EFFECTS button will configure the LED effects for standby mode (the available effects for this mode can be found in the product manual).
AUDIO MODE: Activated when there is an audio signal at the mixer’s output. In this mode, the RGB EFFECTS button will configure the LED effects for audio mode (the available effects for this mode can be found in the product manual).

The VU effects are only available in AUDIO MODE, meaning the effect can be activated while the mixer is sending audio to a device or amplifier. Additionally, a certain audio intensity is required at the mixer’s output for the VU meter effect to be visible on the potentiometers.

Note: The VU meter effect on the potentiometers is only a visual effect. For more accurate audio level readings, use the VU meter located next to the MAIN LEVEL sliding potentiometer.
