How to connect a TRIO box with a subwoofer, driver, and tweeter to the TS 400x4 amplifier:
Subwoofer Connection:
Use the BRIDGE connection of channels 3 and 4 on the amplifier for the subwoofer. The subwoofer should be a single 4-ohm voice coil or a dual 2-ohm voice coil (in this case, connect the coils in series to achieve 4 ohms, which is compatible with the TS 400x4 in bridged mode).
Set the crossover switch to the LPF (Low-Pass Filter) position, allowing the amplifier to output up to 90Hz, reproducing only the low frequencies on the subwoofer.
The subwoofer’s power should range from 100 WRMS to 400 WRMS. For internal sound system applications, this power range provides excellent performance.
Driver and Tweeter Connection:
Use channels 1 and 2 of the amplifier to connect the driver and tweeter.
Since these components are sensitive and operate well at low power, use capacitors to apply the appropriate frequency cutoff, ensuring protection against damage.
Use of Audio Processor:
If an audio processor is used in the system, set the amplifier’s crossover to FULL, allowing all frequencies to pass through. Precise frequency adjustments should be made directly on the audio processor according to the needs of each component.
