In some models of our residential amplifiers/THS receivers, there is an attenuation (ATT) function that lowers the amplifier’s output audio when it detects a signal at the microphone input or when the gong key (ding-dong) is activated, giving more emphasis to the microphone. However, only in certain THS models: THS 4001, THS 4004, THS 4600, and THS 6000 it is possible to disable the attenuation function through a simple programming procedure.
It is important to note that some of these models have different methods and indications for performing this programming, which can be found below:
THS 4001: With the device in Standby mode (plugged in but turned off), press and hold the "ON/STB" button until the panel LEDs light up in blue. The ATT LED on indicates that the attenuation mode is active. To disable it, press the "GONGO" button, which will turn off the ATT LED, indicating the function is deactivated. Press and hold the "ON/STB" button again until the panel LEDs turn off to confirm the programming.
THS 4004: With the device in Standby mode (plugged in but turned off), press and hold the "ON/STB" button until the panel LEDs light up in blue. The ATT LED on indicates that the attenuation mode is active. To disable it, press the "GONGO" button, which will turn off the ATT LED, indicating the function is deactivated. Press and hold the "ON/STB" button again until the panel LEDs turn off to confirm the programming.
THS 4600: With the device in Standby mode (plugged in but turned off), press and hold the "GONGO" button for approximately 5 seconds. The ATT LED will blink 3 times to indicate that the attenuation function is active, or 1 time to indicate that it is deactivated.
THS 6000: With the device in Standby mode (plugged in but turned off), press and hold the "ON/STB" button until the panel LEDs light up in blue. The ATT LED on indicates that the attenuation mode is active. To disable it, press the "GONGO" button, which will turn off the ATT LED, indicating the function is deactivated. Press and hold the "ON/STB" button again until the panel LEDs turn off to confirm the programming.
With the attenuation function disabled, whenever a signal is detected at the microphone input or the GONGO is activated, the audio output of the receiver will not be attenuated, maintaining its volume.
